SCHEDULE

Schedule elements may be subject to change.

Monday 20th: Day 1 - City of London

London Blockchain Academy

We begin in the enigmatic City of London - an ancient financial enclave with its own law, police force and ritual where even the monarch must seek permission to enter.

Expect an immersive exploration into the hidden architecture of global finance, as we navigate streets steeped in symbolism and secrecy. From the dragon statues guarding the city’s borders to the ruins of the Roman Mithraeum, the iconic Tower of London — once home to the Royal Mint and still guardian of the Crown Jewels — to the ancient Temple Church, headquarters of the Knights Templar and backdrop to the tense negotiations between King John and the barons that led to the sealing of Magna Carta. We'll also visit the Bank of England, Temple Bar and the Royal Exchange, revealing the foundations of modern banking and the enduring influence of hidden institutions.

In addition our you will enjoy spectacular views from the 17th century monument to the Great Fire of London, ingeniously designed to function as a zenith telescope by Sir Robert Hooke (known as England's Leonardo), descend into the subterranean gold vaults, famously featured in the 1964 "Goldfinger" and dine at historic locations frequented by some of the world’s most powerful figures.

Tuesday 21st: Day 2: Royal Greenwich

We begin at the Royal Dock Footbridge, with sweeping views over the London Docklands — once the mighty gateway to the British Empire. From the 1600s, this vast port drove global commerce, transforming London into the world’s economic epicentre. A boat ride down the Thames carries us past Canary Wharf, today’s towering symbol of Britain’s shift from trade empire to financial superpower.

In Greenwich, the story unfolds. Step aboard the Cutty Sark, the world’s fastest clipper and a sleek symbol of maritime ambition. Walk the grounds of the Royal Naval College and stand beneath the Painted Hall — the so-called “British Sistine Chapel” — its grandeur captured in Skyfall and Sherlock Holmes. At the Queen’s House, marvel at the elegant Tulip Staircase and the portrait of Elizabeth I, as we delve into how the legal order of the seas — admiralty and maritime law — helped shape our modern world.

At the National Maritime Museum, uncover innovations that powered centuries of naval supremacy and how Greenwich Mean Time became the invisible scaffold of commerce, and empire. Then, straddle East and West on the Greenwich Meridian Line — the zero point of the world’s longitude system. Finally, we ascend to the Royal Observatory and the Altazimuth Pavilion, home to radical Enlightenment-era breakthroughs in astronomy and timekeeping, throughout the day enjoying the finest traditional cuisine at quintessentially English eateries.
