Founding President

A philosophy and political science graduate of King's College London and the Humboldt University in Berlin, Elle has worked in a number of fast-paced sectors from investment banking and corporate law in the City of London to international development in Africa and Latin America, providing strategic consultancy at a presidential level.

She is the Head of Blockchain Innovation at the World Impact Forum, headquartered in the UAE and a strategy consultant for a wide range of blockchain innovation impact projects. A life-long student of economics and financial systems, Elle became interested in Bitcoin in 2010 and attended the very first UK-based Bitcoin meet-up held in East London. Since then she has been dedicated to disseminating empowering education via the international cultural centres she founded in London, her NGOs and most recently, the Blockchain Academy.

Mitch Burcham

Head of Advanced Studies

Mitch studied Applied Physics at the Colorado School of Mines before transitioning to entrepreneurship, founding startups in the blockchain and AI sectors. His latest venture, Binary Distributed Technologies, is a blockchain-based solutions company focused on strategic redesign of the American electric grid.

An internationally recognized, award-winning speaker, Mitch is the author of the highly anticipated national security report Grid on the Edge and serves as a strategic advisor to the Save Our Grid Campaign and the National EMP Taskforce. Mitch brings his deep expertise in the Bitcoin blockchain to the Blockchain Academy, where he designs and oversees the advanced programs.
